It's time for our annual Membership Drive. Please join us as we work to promote all manner of artistic expression among our families, neighbors & community friends in 2011.
In August 2002 the Palatine/Inverness Arts Council (affectionately known as PIAC) was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. For the past eight years PIAC has worked hard focusing on the cultural, educational and economic growth of our communities through support and encouragement of our local performing and visual arts and artists. We have provided financial support to students in our schools, local music and theater groups, our local park district cultural arts programs and individual local artists.
We consider the arts integral to life-long learning and work to provide accessibility of public arts activities to all people. We believe in the preservation of our cultural heritage and responsible stewardship of community resources. We believe in the power of the arts as a stimulant to our local economic environment. We are vocal advocates for more and fair funding of the arts in the local, state and federal governments.
Your membership will tell the community that you believe in these ideals. Please consider joining us today. You can download our membership form and mail it to the address shown. Your support is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. With your membership you will receive regular news of PIAC's ongoing efforts, discounts to special PIAC events and Chamber of Commerce businesses, and many opportunities to help us support and encourage public participation in exciting art events.
