Throughout the year PIAC plays host to or participant of numerous art events in the community. Activities we're working on for 2010 include:
Palatine Poetry Slam - the last Monday of the month starting at 6:30 pm at Lamplighter's Inn & Grill, 2nd floor
Knupper's Annual Art in the Garden - July 10, 2010; 10a - 4p
Check Recycled Art Projects - Monthly during the Palatine Farmers Market, next event June 26th from 7am to 1pm
Gently Viewed Art Sale - Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest 2010, July 1-5
An Art Affair Around the Square - September 11 & 12, 2010 10a to 5p each day
Fine Art & High Tea - November 2010
We just received word that PIAC is a receipient of a $500 grant from the Palatine Rotary. The funds will be applied toward our new project - the Art Train. Started in McHenry County in 2007, the Art Train (Metra Northwest line) takes people from town to town to participate in art events, visit community businesses and generally share the joy of sharing art.
