‘An Art Affair in the Square’ is PIAC’s annual juried art show. The fair ran on September 10 & 11 in Palatine’s Towne Square at the corners of Palatine Road and Smith Street. Over 35 fine artists displayed and sold their work from 10am to 5pm each day. Free admission all day, each day.
Additionally we had fine local musicians joining us each day. We're particularly pleased we brought to Palatine the nationally known, sensational group "
Small Potatoes" on Sunday from 1pm to 3pm, during our very popular wine-tasting presentation. The wine-tasting activity ran from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday.
The rest of the musical line-up included:
Saturday: Palatine Children's Choir from noon to 1pm
Just Duet from 1pm to 3pm
Pam Kay from 3pm to 4pm
Merv Collins, fingerstyle guitarist from 4pm to 5pm
Sunday: Small Potatoes from 1pm to 3pm
Guyz with Bad Eyez from 3pm to 5pm
The all performed under the beautiful gazebo in the center of Towne Square.
We are pleased to acknowledge receipt of a $500 grant from the Palatine Rotary. The funds will be applied towards attracting fine arts artisans and musicians for this year's Art Affair Around the Square.
Palatine Bank & Trust will be sponsoring our
Family Art Tent at this year's Art Affair.
